What else could I use besides the corn husks? I hardly ever see them except for during Halloween and Thanksgiving. I have none right now, so I will have to come up with another idea for the wings. Do you have any suggestions? I love that these angels are more shabby chic than most of the glittery ones.

I believe they were made from Reader's Digest magazines because they have many pages and are small compact magazines. The outter top corner is folded down to the inside seam of the page making a triangle. It is important to fold each page identically and crease them well.

I am looking for the angel that are made with little books. My son made me one when he was in third grade and I want to make another one for my friends but I forgot how to fold the pages to open the skirt of the angel.

turn top edge of page to spine of book.
