Joy Crochet Angel
Joy Crochet Angel

From the Blogger: "JOY is the fourth crochet angel in my Angel Series. She is the most detailed of the set (so far) - with a double layered skirt with ruffles. Photo support is included in the post. She stands by herself and you do not need to stiffen the finished fabric - she is crocheted with worsted weight/medium weight yarn. She makes a lovely tabletop decoration, you can add a length of ribbon (or a crochet chain) to use her as a tree ornament or decoration in your home. She will also work atop your Christmas Tree as a Tree Topper. If you are struggling to keep her in place try using a piece of paper towel roll or toilet paper roll inserted beneath her skirt to provide a sturdier base than the flimsy bendy tree wire. Or make a cone from paper or plastic to sit beneath her skirt on top of the tree (or even cut the base of a plastic water bottle and use the top bit without the cap under her skirt!). I’ve also considered sewing a small bell under her skirt to make her ‘chime’. I have used Bowdabra Bow Wire - Color Gold and 2.25 mm (B) crochet hook for her halo but you can easily substitute a pipe cleaner for this purpose."

How precious is this? Although the design comes from All Free Christmas Crafts, this little angle can stay out all year long. I plan on making one of each (yes, there are more) and leaving them all over the house.

I just love this little crochet angel named Joy by the designer. The details are very dainty and frilly. The designer put a lot of effort into the details and it shows. I hope to be able to make each one that she has created.

This is one of the cutest angels I have seen. I haven't found one with a ruffled skirt before. Most are a plain A line. I can't wait to make it for my grand daughter. I want to trim those ruffles with thin gold yarn. Thank you so much for sharing this really sweet idea.
