Coffee Filter Snowflake Ornaments

Coffee Filter Snowflake Ornaments

Coffee Filter Snowflakes are easy enough for children old enough to use scissors to make! Each one can be as unique as the creator! Use your imagination for many different looks (colored glitter, tea stained filters, etc.). These beautiful snowflakes are some of the best Christmas crafts for kids. Children can tie some string to these snowflakes and you can help hang them up around the house as oversized Christmas ornaments. They can also add glitter, paint, or marker to give the snowflakes more texture and color.
Note from the Editor:
The best part of these types of easy Christmas crafts for kids is that coffee filters are inexpensive so there is less pressure on making something perfect the first time. Children can have lots of fun and start over if they screw up. In fact, this fun Christmas craft isn't just for kids. It's a great family activity for a blustery cold day when you don't want to go outside. Make some cocoa and start cutting and decorating. You can even use some of the cocoa to dye the coffee filters! Besides being budget-friendly, coffee filters can pick up dyes easily, so they are a fun medium to experiment with. You can even make this a summer project by making the "snowflakes" tie-dyed and bright. Because of the versatility, these make excellent party decorations year-round and the kids will be happy that they could help make some decorations.
