You must of had a roll or two dozen ribbon that got away from you and uncoiled all over the place, am I right? I know that my fumble fingers always loses a roll or two under the table each day I am crafting it seems. I love how convenient and easy your idea is to work with because I can get a lot more done with the ribbon where I can see them all without dropping them.

The Christmas Ribbon Rack linked to a blog that was more showing some pictures of what the woman's father and grandfather did for her than it was instructions. Patterns for wood cutting in a way that would keep the dowels from rolling out when ribbon is being pulled out would be appreciated. Considering how old the blog page is that's not going to change.

True, we apologize as this does seem more of an idea than an actual tutorial. I would suggest rubber bands around the dowels or making the notches holes instead so that it can slide out the side rather than toward the front. Hope this helps. - Krista, Editor, AllFreeChristmasCrafts

If you can still find a wooden case from soda pop, you could make a smaller one. also Old palettes are often free for the taking in industrial areas or back of stores. ASK first. Don't get arrested taking someone else's property! A palette would be a bit of labor to knock apart and rebuild to the size you want.
