I live in a area called Bentley Pines so that should tell you something. Although it's in Florida, we do have pine trees, not the same as in a colder climate but they do come with pine cones, squirrels, snakes and other assorted non holiday decoraTions. So the pine cones are free, plus I have wide satin ribbon for a bow and a few jingle bells!

Pinecone wreaths are very simple and inexpensive, but they can be fun to hang on the wire when you do not know how to hold them right. It took me a lot of practice. I love pine cones though because you can dip them, paint them, use them naturally, add glitter, pull off the chips, or you can turn them upside down and make a craft for the tree.
