You have to have a little last minute gift for the surprise guests, right? Why not whip up some crochet Christmas trees and use a candy cane for a stick. I would go a little further and add some Hershey kiss decorations just for some sweetness. You could make a hot chocolate mug for this to go in too.

Very cute and easy to crochet candy cane holder. I was looking for something different this year, other than the same googly-eyed reindeer/candy cane design I had been using for several years. The Christmas tree crochet instructions are easy to follow. Back loop crochet patterns like this one are my favorite.

The recipient would never know that this could have been a last minute Christmas tree candy can holder. Even though the pattern is simple to make it end result will be appreciate, not only for the card that it holds but as an ornament that can be used next year.
