German Paper Star Wreath

Add some Old World charm to your Christmas decorations this year when you create the German Paper Star Wreath! This intermediate Christmas craft will look stunning when displayed on a door or window.

From the blogger: "Here in Germany around Christmas time, you see the Fröbelsterne as decorations just about everywhere. They may look complicated, but these paper stars are not as hard to make as one may think. Once you have mastered the technique to create ornaments with them, you can take it a step further and make a decorative wreath using 8 completed stars. You will find an illustrated tutorial to make the star and how to make the wreath, as well."

This is one of those "I have to do this one of these days" things. First, I have to learn to make those beautiful stars. I have looked at the instructions several times but it kind of scares me. Has anyone else done this? Is it easier than it looks? (Tell me it is!)

Hello Paver2! I can tell you, the stars look a lot more complicated to make than they actually are. It looks like a lot of steps but it is a lot of repetition. You do one step with a point and then the same with the next three points. Then comes a new step for a point and it repeats for the next 3 points. It continues that way pretty much throughout the whole star. Once you get the hang of it, you will be wanting to make lots of these. D

Thanks! That gives me courage to try. ) I didn't receive notification of a reply to my question, sorry for being so late in acknowledging it.
