Spools of Yuletide DIY Ornaments

Make an ornamental masterpiece this Christmas by creating these Spools of Yuletide DIY Ornaments. These spool ornaments look fantastic on your tree, are easy to make, and inexpensive to create. With some wooden spools, adhesives, glitter, and a little imagination, you can create a gorgeous homemade ornaments in no time. Materials:

• Tulip® Fashion Glitter®
• Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ 24 Pack    
• Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue®
• Tulip® Fashion Glitter® Bond
• Wooden spools
• Large pompoms
• Beads
• Yarn
• Metal charms
• Scissors
• Ribbon (same width as spool)
• Wire

Instructions:

1. Wrap ribbon around each spool and gluing in place with Aleene's® Tacky Glue®.
    
2. Use Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Bond to draw flowers and dots and designs on ribbon.
    
3. While adhesive is still wet, sprinkle different colors of glitter into the glue.  Let dry. Dust off excess glitter onto white paper.
    
4. Thread yarn through middle of spool. Attach yarn end to a piece of wire to help thread yarn through middle of pom pom. Attach metal charm to yarn. Rethread yarn back through pom pom and middle of spool ending back at the top.
    
5. Thread various beads through both yarn pieces at top of spool to hang. Use wire if necessary to help threading. Tie at top for hanging.
