This angel is made from foam? I had no idea when I looked at the picture. I thought you used a piece of leather or maybe a posterboard or something more sturdy. I would never have guessed that you used foam. I love the idea, but I am a little nervous about the medium because you have to throw away the palette when you are done, right?

I love the traditional look of this trumpeting angel ornament. The instructions indicate to use inch Styrofoam, however I imagine thin balsa wood might work just as well to cut out the angel form. The rustic appearance of this angel and the old-style shape is what appeals to me.

I like this idea, but I would like to do it without it costing anything. Do you think a Styrofoam meat package would work? Also, I have some spray paint in silver, I think. Would that work on Styrofoam or would it melt it? With the holidays coming on, I'd like to save my pennies for gifts but I'd like to do this, too!
