This is a unique Christmas tree ornament. I like the concept but here is an idea to improve the look. Perhaps cutting around the design when completed to give them all there unique shape instead of just a square or rectangle.

I think that this would be a great project for school-age students. I believe the use of cardstock material would be acceptable and easy enough to complete with the help of some instruction from a teacher. This could work for a lot of grade levels.
