For crocheted snowman crafts like this one, using white yarn and buttons that resemble eyes, a mouth, and a nose help mimic the look of a snowman. For this snowman craft, you will need worsted weight acrylic yarn in a white or soft white shade. You will also need a jar to put your finished snowman cozy over. To crochet this craft, you will need a Size H crochet hook. Size H means that it is 5.00mm or 5 millimeters. Crochet hooks range in size from 0.60mm to 15.00mm, though it depends on which country you live. In the U.S., most sizes have letters assigned to them along with the measurement (letters B through K are used), but that is not the case in the U.K. and Japan, for example. In Japan, the millimeter measurements are slightly different as well. Before starting crochet crafts, make sure you have the correct supplies based on your location.

This is so cute and would be very quick to make up. It would make a cute candy dish or even a tip jar at a bar or restaurant. Another idea would be to add a string of battery operated lights inside the rose bowl for added effect. I havent seen rose bowls in years. Where would I buy one in Canada?

You'll find glass rose bowls at Michael's craft store. I found them in the bridal / party section for about $2.00.
