Wine Cork Christmas Bracelet
Go green (and red) this holiday season with wine cork craft projects. Eco-friendly projects help the environments and show your festive spirit. Make a Wine Cork Christmas Bracelet and wear it all season. Or, make an extra and give it to a friend.
Materials:
- Wine cork
- 26-gauge wire - 24” in length
- 5 small seed beads per cork slice (35 beads are used in accompanying video)
- Spring ring & eyelet or lobster clasp and jump ring
- Sharp knife & cutting board
- Drill with 1/16” drill bit & scrap wood
- Wire cutter
Instructions:
-
Cut cork crosswise into 1/8 inch slices. Cut the entire cork.
-
Drill 2 holes per cork slice through the diameter of the cork and 1/8 inch from the edge.
-
Loop wire through the clasp, then the cork, then the clasp again. Twist wire to secure in place. Long end of wire should protrude through the front of the cork slice at this point.
-
Thread 5 beads through the wire and secure by pushing wire through the other hole in the cork.
-
Thread the next cork slice through the wire from the back to the front of the cork slice. Long end of wire should protrude through the front of the second cork slice at this point.
-
Loop the wire from the front of the 2nd cork slice through the front of the 1st cork slice, then from the back of the 1st cork slice, insert the wire through the back of the 2nd cork slice. This secures the cork slices in place. Long end of wire should protrude through the front of the 2nd cork slice at this point.
-
Repeat threading beads through the wire and adding cork slices.
- End bracelet by threading wire through the jump ring or eyelet and then through the cork again. Twist wire to secure in place.

This is a very different yet creative bracelet. With a little help my grand daughter could make these for her mom, aunt and friends for Christmas. I have corks she can use and she could glue embellishments onto them too. Thank you so much for sharing this super idea.
