I like this idea a lot. I can see adding some anise stars or cinnamon sticks to put even more fragrant smells in the air. Have you tried making a potpourri to put in your mason jars? I had a good bit of luck making them and I just decorated them with some glitter and ribbon so that they were fun and festive.
