Painted Christmas Cheer Shirt

Materials:

  • Tulip Soft® Fabric Paint Crimson Red P
  • Tulip Soft® Fabric Paint Gold Glitter
  • Tulip Soft® Fabric Paint Holiday Green
  • Tulip® Cordless Heat Setting Tool™
  • Tulip® Glam-It-Up!™ Clear Iron-On Crystals™
  • Cutting mat
  • Paper or plastic plates or foil for palette
  • Contact paper
  • White T-shirt
  • Cosmetic sponges
  • Cardboard
  • Fine point marker
  • Craft knife
  • Pattern

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry T-shirt to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.

  2. Enlarge pattern to desired size. Place contact paper over pattern. Trace with a fine-tip marker and cut out with a craft knife over a cutting mat, leaving outside edges intact to create stencil.

  3. Insert cardboard inside shirt to prevent paint seepage to backside.

  4. Peel backing from “Christmas Cheer” stencil and use a cosmetic sponge to pounce Crimson Red Soft Fabric Paint into stencil openings. Let dry and add a second coat if necessary. Peel off stencil and let dry.

  5. Position ornament stencils around “Christmas Cheer” and fill in with Holiday Green Matte and Gold Glitter Soft Fabric Paints.

  6. Place crystals randomly around design and set in place with Cordless Heat-Setting Tool.

How can clothes for the holidays get any cuter? I adore this shirt. I think it will work excellent for the little boys and girls in the family too. I am going to make at least a dozen of these shirts because I have such a large family, and I know the little ones will feel like a festive bunch if they are all wearing this shirt.
