DIY Elves Advent Calendar

DIY elves advent calendar

"This fun advent calendar is made with baby glass jar. I build a house using scarp wood, placed some inclined shelves inside so the jars can roll to the bottom. To make it even funnier for the kids I glued some elves on each lid. Each day you take out your jar, open the lid to find your surprise and the jars into the house roll down turning the little elves upside down. It’s easy to fill up the jars with candies or small toys, so you can use this advent calendar for years. The full tutorial is available on my blog and it includes the free elves printable."

Materials List

  • Glass jar (baby food works best)
  • plywood 6mm
  • Wood glue
  • staples
  • paint
  • paper
  • printer

Is this not the most adorable little advent calendar? I love how fun and festive you can be with simple ideas that make the most out of the season. I love counting down the days until Christmas. My mom used to get us these calendars where we would glue a new cotton ball on Santa's beard until it was full and he was as festive as he could get. It was so much fun to do every night before bed.
