I love how this pattern looks like lace even though you use yarn. I agree with Polly Esther that it reminds me of my grandma too. I remember white doilies on the table under her best crystal candy dishes. Did your grandma use doilies with a pattern like these or maybe sofa decorations that sat on the arm of the couch?
