We hosted Christmas for the first time last year and for out center piece we used a vase with baubles in it and everyone loved it but this year we want to try something else as we are hosting again and I think everyone would fall in love with this one.

I have been thinking about making a cute little Christmas scene to put either in the corner or on the fireplace for this year. This would be a great addition to that! I could use led tealights for when I wanted lit for long periods, and switch to scented tealights when I want to change the atmosphere.

What can you do if you drill too deep? I will show this craft to my hubby and ask him to drill the logs for me. I want to show this decoration off so much because it is just the thing we would make for our house. I love to use natural elements and light them up or dazzle them with some glitter and decorations. This is an excellent idea!

I just LOVE these candle holders! My Grandpa used to make these out of birch branches and they were so gorgeous. They make great centrepieces. I am too nervous to put real candles in them, but they look just as fabulous with those battery operated tea lights from the dollar store. You can try adding some greenery around them or some tiny fake birds and make a really lovely tablescape. I have seen them used at rustic weddings and they are quite stunning.

I love this idea and can probably try it even this weekend! I love the idea of repurposing the logs into holiday decorations.

Talk about a coincidence! The other day my neighbor had their trees trimmed and I got a couple logs from it. I had no idea what I would do with them but I took them anyway. Now I know exactly what I can do with them. Thank you so much for sharing this great idea. I know it will look just great.
