There is nothing like that homey feeling and scent during the holidays is a great part of that. I have used the pine Fraser fir fragrance oil and it is wonderful... Use it in the guest bath and smells like the tree! Another great addition is an orange studded with cloves! Or even a small battery tiny lights set entwined with the cones!

My mom used to put pinecones and spices in a pot on the stove to simmer every holiday season. She would take fresh leaves off the trees and add it to cinnamon and cloves with a splash of vanilla and orange to make the house smell so divine. Do you have other scents too?

I love to walk past the scented brooms at this time of year. They bring back wonderful holiday memories. I will have to find the oils because I have a ton of pine cones in my yard. I just have to get to them before the squirrels get to them and chew them up trying to get the pine nuts out of them.

This is such a great idea. Not only does it look fabulous, but your home will smell amazing, too.
