Center Step Christmas Card
If you love creating your own Christmas gifts and decorations, then why give a boring, generic card? Step out of the box and create a Center Step Christmas Card from Carlene Eshelman using cardstock in a variety of sizes. This 3-D card will stand out this holiday season.
Materials:
- 5-1/2” X 11” double-sided cardstock
- Paper trimmer with positionable cutter
- Bone folder
- Score board
- 3-1/4” X 4-1/4” completed card front
- 2 strips of 3/4” X 4-1/4” cardstock
- 3/4” X 5-1/4” matching cardstock (matching cardstock listed above)
Instructions:
- Take 5-1/2” X 11” cardstock and place in paper trimmer so long end is vertical. Position cutter so it is 1” from top, and 1” from left side of cardstock. Cut from 1” cross mark down to 6-1/2” mark.
- Place cardstock on scoreboard so long end is horizontal. Score at 1” down to your cut (from above). Score bottom at 1” from cut line down to end of cardstock. You should not score in the middle from cut line to cut line.
- Score at 2” mark, following same procedure above.
- Score at 6-1/2” mark, following same procedure in step 2.
- Find 5-1/2” mark, and this time, score in the middle between the cut lines.
- Fold first score line as a mountain fold, second score line as a valley fold, and third score line as a mountain. Basically folding up, down, then up.
- Glue 3-1/4” X 4-1/4” completed card front to front of card.
- Glue 2 smaller strips to side panels.
- Last strip goes on bottom of the card.
- Optional: stamp sentiment inside card.

Can you cut this design out with scissors if you do not have a card cutter? I have no way to cut out designs other than that, but I can print out anything I need. I love that you chose to use a snowman design. I think they are so cute. I want to make one of these cards for all of my friends.
