The very first Christmas was celebrated with a host of angels joyfully singing, and that is what this sweet Singing Angels Christmas Card represents. Materials List

  • 11" x 5.4" red cardstock
  • Leftover piece of silver shimmer paper
  • Sheet of ordinary white printer paper
  • Six 8mm clear flat-sided flower rhinestones
  • Three 10mm clear round flat-sided rhinestones 
  • Any two small clear round flat-sided rhinestones
  • Artline 210 Fineliner black pen
  • Pilot silver marker pen
  • Tipp-ex pen
  • Maroon; pink and red felt-tip pens
  • Acrylic paint in a flesh color
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Standard scissors
  • Quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)

Instructions:

Cut a 5" sized square from the white printer paper. Use the silver pen to add a stitched border all around this piece of paper. 

  1. Paint the rest of the sheet of printer paper sheet with the flesh paint and allow to dry thoroughly.

  2. Draw six circles with a diameter of 1" onto the piece of flesh paper and cut them out.

  3. Score the red cardstock to create a card sized 5.4" x 5.4".

  4. With the fold at the top, glue the white square with the silver border to the front of the card.

  5. Glue the six circles to the front of the card - three in the bottom row, two in the middle row, and one on top.

  6. From the silver paper, cut small trapeziums to make the angels’ dresses.

  7. Glue the dresses in place.

  8. Glue a flower rhinestone to each dress.

  9. Glue sesame seeds to each angel’s head to make hair.

  10. Use the Fineliner pen, the felt-tip pens and the Tipp-ex pen to add facial features to the singing angels.

  11. Glue the round rhinestones around the angels.

  12. Use the black pen to add small music notes to the background.

What else is cuter than a band of little angel faces on the front of a holiday card? I want to make this card now because it is so darling. I know I will need a little practice to get this card just right, but it will be worth it in the end. I can't wait to get started.
