The best part about recycled Christmas crafts is that you can get creative with what you have. Homemade snow globes can be made with so many different materials. You can buy a plastic snow globe base at the store or just use an empty jar. Pickle, pasta, and other large jars can be used to make snow globes on a larger scale, whereas spice, jam, and smaller jars can be used to make mini snow globes. Don't forget everyone's favorite craft material, mason jars! Inside your DIY snow globe, you can adhere old toys that your kids no longer play with or buy some cheap at garage sales, thrift, or dollar stores. Glitter is a cheap addition to your snow globe, too. Homemade snow globes can also be waterless, which is like a new craft in itself. Without water, you can make it "snow" with glitter or artificial snow that will fall to the bottom after the snow globe has been shaken.

Colors and other fun elements can be added for more excitement, like glow-in-the-dark snow globe craft above. Snow globes are budget-friendly as well as kid-friendly. Because there are so many ways to make a snow globe, kids can have fun making their own personalized snow globes. DIY snow globes like this craft also make fantastic gifts that anyone would love to receive. You could even create and give someone a snow globe kit so that they can make their own.

This is such a neat idea, especially for little ones. I can think of all kinds of people who would love to have a craft like this cute glowing snowman. Do they turn out as good with the pickle jars? I always have a ton of those around the house because who doesn't love pickles.
