Pinecone Christmas Tree Tiles
"Every morning I walk my dog and I pass a tree with the cutest littlest pinecones. I gathered a handful of these pine cones to make these fabulous Christmas tiles to sit on the mantle. I gathered enough pine cones to make a Christmas tree shape. For one of the tiles I left the pine cones "aux naturalle". For the other, I painted the pine cones a Christmas green. Once the tiles are set you can simply decorate the cute little pine cone trees with pom pom trim. These tiles look great on a Christmas mantle."

I always wondered what you could do with the tiny pine cones. I see them all over the place when I am walking too, but I have had no clue what to do with them until now. How well do these pine cone tiles store over the winter? Can you use them for more than one season, or do you have to pack them especially careful?
