Use nature to your advantage at Christmas time and create this Rustic Pine Tree Limb Wreath. This tutorial shows you how to make a Christmas wreath in two different styles, highlighting the creativity you can bring to this DIY Christmas decoration. You use a simple vine wreath and pine needles to make the base, adding pine tree limbs and other greenery. Then you can use your imagination and add in other items found in nature such as hydrangea, ivy, pine cones, and walnuts. Your wreath will be reflective of what you can find in your yard, making this a personal piece within your homemade Christmas decor.

Hi SissieSass, I think monofilament or fishing line would work, a lighter weight fishing line would be sturdier than a thin thread type. I have used floral wire, sort of rubbery coating and it is green and that seems to work for me. Twisting wire might be easier for kids or older folks as you could hold the branches with one hand while twisting the wire. But both could work great! )

I was wondering if you could use monofilament line instead of the crafting wire or if that would be too difficult to tie the pieces together? I like the use of clear line like monofilament because it is almost invisible when you attach it to your crafts and Christmas tree ornaments.
