Peppermint Christmas Soap
Nothing says Christmas quite like peppermint. Enjoy this holiday treat without the calories by making your own homemade Christmas Soap. Peppermint Christmas Soap is a fun stocking stuffer idea and can be given to a teacher or neighbor. Add either peppermint fragrance or another pleasant scent that will remind them of wonderful Christmastime memories. We all need soap and whether they use it or just keep it on display in their bathroom throughout winter, they will be very appreciative of this thoughtful and creative gift.
Materials:
- 4 ounces white melt & pour glycerin soap
- 8 ounces clear melt & pour glycerin soap
- Red soap coloring additive
- Soap fragrance of your choice
- 2 round soap molds (or food containers)

- Rubbing alcohol in a spritzer bottle
- Refrigerator (optional)
- Holiday ribbon (optional)
Instructions:

- Add the amount of white soap (as determined in Step 2) into a measuring cup. Microwave 30 seconds and then additional 10-second increments until all white soap is melted. Stir with the spoon.

- Allow to dry/solidify for 30 minutes to 3 hours. Drying time is accelerated in the refrigerator.

- Stacking the 2 soaps together, cut into 6 or 8 (your choice) “pie slices.”
- Add 3 ounces of clear soap chunks to a clean measuring cup.
- Microwave 30 seconds and then additional 10-second increments until all clear soap is melted. Stir with the spoon.
- Pour a thin layer of clear soap into the bottom of each round soap mold.
- Spritz with rubbing alcohol.
- Alternating red and white soap slices, position like a peppermint candy.
- Spritz with rubbing alcohol.
- Pour another thin layer of clear soap on top of the red and white soap.
- Spritz with rubbing alcohol.
- Allow to dry/solidify for 30 minutes to 3 hours. Drying time is accelerated in the refrigerator.

I am loving these soap tutorials for my Christmas gifts and there are so many of them that I am going to make a gift basket of different one. This peppermint one looks just like the candy and I like the way she tied the ends to look like it. And the peppermint smell makes it a complete look alike to the candy. There is also a video to go with it making this even more easier to follow. Anyone making any of this soap for your own bathroom?
