These ideas for brightening up Christmas packages open up a lot of ideas for brightening up gifts in general. The dollar store has items in more than just the seasonal aisles that you could add to your wrapping. Even if you use gift bags more often than wrapping paper, as I do, you can decorate the bags and gift tags to make the gift even more special.

I have the same thoughts as the other commentators about how nice these decorations are for giving gifts during the holidays. I can see getting tons of oohs and aahs from people that I hand gifts to with this embellishments. You can even use these for bridal shower gifts and weddings. Great idea!

When you say dollar store, a lot of people think itis low grade items. This is simply not true. I have gotten the exact same thing at a dollar store that I saw at a major discount store for three times the amount. And who would have thought lurking on the shelves and down the aisles are such great finds? I am going to try out some of these ideas.

I totally agree with you and they have a lot of nice things for crafts. I have even found some good card stock that sold in stores for $10. I go back to look at dollar store at a weekly basis and see what I can find. They even have embellishments that are so expensive in craft stores and I like this idea and I will be using some of these this year to add a change. A lot of times they buy from stores going out of business so it is they same product. Have you used this idea yet to gift wrap?
