Reused Glitter Ornament Card Holders
If you're running out of room on your tree, you don't have to put those other ornaments away; use some of them to make Reused Glitter Ornament Card Holders. Forget the conventional way of posting Christmas cards and add sparkle to your Christmas home decor without having to buy anything new. Empty baubles can now be festive photo holders that look right at home during the holidays. You won't have to mark up your walls, and you'll have a new use for your old ball ornaments. This recycled Christmas craft is a great way to elegantly display greetings and warm wishes from loved ones both near and far.
Materials:
- Clear card holder ornament(s) or clear ornament
- Floor cleaner
- Extra-fine glitter
- Gloves
Optional:
- Rice
- Small funnel
- Mod Podge and water (instead of floor cleaner)
- Embellishments
Instructions:
- Remove top ornament holder from clear bulb
- Add floor cleaner directly into the clear bulb and gently swirl around
- Pour excess floor cleaner directly back into the original container
- Generously pour glitter directly into the ornament
- Cover top of ornament with gloved finger. Shake vigorously
- Remove finger and pour excess glitter out
- Tap side of ornament to shake off all excess glitter
- Allow ornament to dry completely (one hour or longer)
- Fill ornament with rice to weigh down the card holder
- Replace top ornament holder
- Optional: Add decorative ribbons or embellishments
- Add card or picture and display proudly

How does the floor cleaner work for this craft? Does it make the card holder more shiny? I like that you used ornaments to hold up the cards. I bet this would work excellent for table settings. You could put a photo of each person in the ornament and put it where each person is to sit during dinner, and they can take it home when the day is done.
